See Tickets provides you as an organizer with the tools to create a positive fan experience, fully in line with our white-label philosophy. Part of this are additional services, including a cancellation insurance (Refund protection) for your fans.
Refund protection is managed by insurer Booking Protect and can be offered to your fans as an additional service. The fan purchases Refund protection during the order process. When a fan takes out Refund protection, they agree to the terms and conditions of Booking Protect. If, due to certain events or circumstances, the fan is unable to attend your event, they can then submit a claim to Booking Protect. These circumstances must be covered by the terms and conditions. Booking Protect only covers the fan if they are personally unable to attend the event due to exceptional circumstances.
What are the benefits for you as an organizer?
If your fan has taken out Refund protection with Booking Protect, you as the organizer are not responsible for refunding the order value or bearing the costs of the refund. If the claim is approved, the amount will be reimbursed by Booking Protect, which means you as the organizer retain the ticket revenue that was paid and you can sell the tickets again.
As an organizer, you offer your fans an additional service to protect themselves against unforeseen events. If you apply a non-refund policy for your events, you still offer fans the option to receive a refund via Refund protection.
How can the fan submit their claim?
The fan must create an account on the Booking Protect website, after which they can submit a claim to receive a refund. This is also stated in the Booking Protect terms and conditions that the fan agreed to in that case.
How can I activate this?
The Refund protection service for fans is activated in many cases. If this is not the case for you, please contact your Client Success Manager.*
