Scan timeslots

Scan timeslots

This feature makes it possible to scan tickets for a specific period of time, better known as time slots. When you add a time slot to a product, the restriction is automatically added that the product must be scanned within the selected time slot to be valid. Scanning outside the time slot will result in a "Not Allowed" scan.

1. Create the desired time slots for the event
Time slots are event-specific, so the first step is to configure time slots for the event. In Manage > Scanning > Time slots you can create the required time slots. This page also provides an overview of products already configured for this event.
Alert
Note:
  1. It is not possible to edit a time slot after it has been created. A change to a time slot must be made by deleting the original time slot and creating a new one (and reconfiguring all products for that time slot).
  2. It is not possible to delete a time slot that is being used by a product.

2. Set the desired time slot per product
After creating the time slots, a new option will appear in the product settings. In the time slot field, you can easily select one of the created time slots to add a time slot to this specific product. Removing a time slot for the product must be done by deselecting the entered time slot.
Alert

Note:

  • You can select one time slot per product.
  • There is currently no way to select time slots in bulk. Time slots must be selected per desired product.

3. Scanning
By adding a time slot to a product, the time slot is automatically activated for scanning. Active time slots appear under the product on the product configuration page of the scan operation.
Alert

Note:

  • A scan operation must be available. This feature does not work without a scan operation.
  • It is not possible to edit time slots directly from the scan operation. This must be done in the product.

For scanning, a time slot simply means that tickets for this product are only valid within the configured time slot. Scanning a ticket outside the time slot results in a "Not Allowed" scan.

Admin and Manager scan users have the option to ignore time slots by selecting the "Ignore time slots" option in the scan app. This allows them to scan the ticket as "valid" outside the configured time slot (for fans who arrive late or enter early, etc.).

Alert

Note:

  • Scan users do not have the option to ignore time slots.
  • The ignore function must be actively turned on or off. Once it is enabled, it remains on until the user turns it off again, effectively ignoring all time slots from that moment on.
