With Restricted Products, you have more control over which products fans can purchase while making it easier for them to find and buy the right products.
For example, you can link specific products to a main product, such as a discounted ticket or a day-specific add-on like parking. A linked product can only be purchased once the corresponding main product has been added to the shopping cart. This prevents incorrect combinations and ensures that fans always purchase the right products.
Combined with the ‘not sold separately’ option, Restricted Products also allows you to create packages. For example, you can require fans to purchase a hotel room together with an entrance ticket, or a bungalow together with camping weekend tickets. With ‘not sold separately’ and Restricted Products, both products must be added to the shopping cart before the fan can proceed to checkout.
You can also use
Dynamic Shopping to guide fans through the shop step by step. You decide which products are visible at each stage, so fans only see products that are relevant to them. This creates a smarter and more personalised buyer journey, while also providing more opportunities for targeted upselling and relevant offers. You can find more information about Dynamic Shopping
here.

Configure Restricted Products
With Restricted Products, you can create a ticket flow where a specific product can only be purchased when the corresponding main product has been added to the shopping cart.
When a fan tries to select a restricted product without the required main product, a pop-up will appear in the shop. This clearly explains which product still needs to be added to the shopping cart before the fan can proceed to checkout.
How to set up Restricted Products:
- Go to ‘Sales Configuration’ within the event where you want to use Restricted Products.
- Select the sales channel in which you want to configure Restricted Products.
- Go to the relevant main product and click the three-dot icon on the right-hand side of the product.
- Select ‘Edit restricted products’.
- Click the pink ‘Add restricted products’ button.
- A submenu with a search bar will appear. Search for and select the products you want to restrict. These products can then only be purchased once the main product has been added to the shopping cart.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for all products you want to restrict.
Finally, test the configuration in the shop. Check that the restriction works correctly and that the pop-up appears when you try to select a restricted product without adding the required main product.
