By using opt-ins, fans can give their consent for, for example, subscribing to a newsletter, storing data, or subscribing to information that you as an organization would like to share with fans. The content of the opt-in itself is up to you and can be adjusted. If fans agree to the opt-in, they give their permission to be included in promotional communication towards fans. You can set up the opt-in for all events within the account, or create a separate opt-in per event.

Note: You must create the opt-in at merchant level. You can read how to do that below.

1. Creating the opt-in at merchant level

1. In the backoffice, go to Merchant - Default event settings - Other.
   
2. Check the box 'Show opt-in checkbox'.
   
3. Fill in the description and text as desired.
   

2. Activating the opt-in at event level
   

1. In your desired event, go to Settings - Advanced settings.
   
2. Check the checkbox 'Show opt-in checkbox to the fan'.
