Selling personalized tickets (name-based tickets)

Selling personalized tickets (name-based tickets)

Personalisation gives you insights into who your fans are. In addition to the details of the main buyer, this feature lets you map out all visitors to your event. This not only provides unique insights, but also gives you the opportunity to build or enrich a valuable database of fan profiles.
Info
If you have not used personalisation before, contact your client success manager
  1. Navigate to the desired event and go to 'Tools'.
  2. Open 'Personalised tickets'.
  3. Then select 'Activate personalised tickets for this event' and the additional option 'Activate Send to friend'. With this extra option, every visitor can personalise their own ticket and it is no longer only the main buyer's responsibility.
  4. Use 'Start date' and 'End date' to specify the period in which fans can personalise. This period does not have to start at the beginning of the sale and can also be in the future.
  5. Under 'Products', choose for which tickets personalisation should be applied. Tickets that are not selected can be downloaded immediately without having to enter any additional details.
  6. Finally, under 'Consumer fields' you define which information is requested per ticket. The email address is always required in order to send the personalisation invitation and, eventually, the tickets.
 Additional options
  1. Select 'Send reminder when personalisation period has started' if you want the buyer to be reminded. We recommend enabling this.
  2. Select 'Show warning that all email addresses must be unique' when only one admission ticket may be personalised per email address.
  3. Select 'Allow sending of non-personalised tickets once the personalisation period has ended' if tickets may still be sent out when they have not been personalised in time.
  4. Under 'Personalisation reminders', add additional moments when the ticket buyer will receive an email reminder to personalise.
Because the personalisation process takes place after the purchase process, it has no impact on conversion and the ordering of tickets in your ticket shop. After placing the order, the fan receives a confirmation and a request to personalise the tickets. Personalising (putting a name on) tickets can be done at any time between the purchase and the event. As soon as all tickets are named, the main buyer receives all tickets in order to distribute them, if applicable.
